This week, we threw a party!

(Note: lots of these pictures were sourced from various people’s cameras and phones, using the “party mode” feature from Google+ Events.)

Summer parties mean the rosé disappears before anything else.

Any good party, I think, starts with a ton of good food.

At some point in the evening, we decided to start our own wine label.

Another thing from this week: Tim and I had dinner at Terroir Parisien after two previous failed attempts.

The concept of the restaurant is that as much of what is put on the table as possible is grown in Ile de France.

Bravery is putting head cheese, rabbit, and blood sausage on the same charcuterie plate.

Though service was inattentive even for a Parisian restaurant, especially compared to other restaurants of this caliber like Septime or Les Fines Gueules, our dishes were beautifully presented and clearly extremely fresh. There is a lot of talk about the lack of a locavore movement in Paris, but hopefully restaurants like this will help give it a little push.
